The F-100

I’ve told numerous stories about my dad’s 1983 F-100. It was a beast and was going to be my first car before it finally died. Recently, I was able to purchase an 83 F-100 myself. The truck runs well but I’ll be working on it when I can to get it in top condition. Eventually, I’d love to take the truck to the F-100 Supernationals Car Show.

For some history on the F-100 and other Ford F-series trucks you can read this article.

(Update 5/23/12)

I haven’t done much work with the truck recently. I wish I could. Parts have been difficult to find and the time to work on the F-100 has been even more difficult. My most recent issues include a slipping transmission, an oil leak, and a burned up wiring harness. I’ve contemplated an engine and transmission swap… maybe for an LT1? Who knows? At this point it isn’t high on the priority list with gas prices getting higher.
